    • You will be asked to rename your Variable. Name it e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Category“ and save changes.
  5. In the same way as described in steps 4.1 - 4.5, create new variables for the following fields:
    • Action: “Data Layer Variable Name“ must be “eventAction“. Your name can be e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Action“.
    • Label: “Data Layer Variable Name“ must be “eventLabel“. Your name can be e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Label“.
    • Value: “Data Layer Variable Name“ must be “eventValue“. Your name can be e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Value“.
  6. In the “Google Analytics Settings“ drop-down list, fill in your GA Tracking ID. In this tutorial, we have choosen the “{{Google Analytics Settings}}“ variable, which we have already created in the past and which represents our GA Tracking ID. 11. You will be asked to rename your Trigger. Name it e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Trigger“ and save changes.
  12. Finalize by clicking on the “Save“ button in the upper right corner. Again, you will be asked to rename your new Tag. Name it e.g. “GA Event Lime Talk Tag“ and confirm changes by clicking on “Save“.

If you have the option “Send events to Google Analytics“ activated in the settings in your Lime Talk client zone, events should be now recorded in GA. You can verify this in your GA in the section Reports -> Real-time -> Events.
